Challenge 45: Creative Wide Angle (hosted by Gayle Knowles)
**Challenge 45: Creative Wide Angle**
I love the creativity that becomes possible with a wide angle lens. They make straight lines bend, curved lines bend more, foreground elements leap out of the photo and give a broad sweeping perspective to a scene.
Wide angle photography doesn't have to be about getting as much of a scene into the frame as possible. Sometimes it's more effective to get close up and isolate your subject. Other times it's very effective to get low down or turn your camera sideways to get a different viewpoint.
It's up to you how to make YOUR wide angle photos as creative as possible. So grab your fisheye, your superwide zoom, your widest prime and experiment, get creative and have fun with WIDE angle.
I am not setting a limit on focal length as I realise there will be people who don't own a 10, 15, 20, 24mm lens, although I expect everyone to use as wide an angle as they possibly can with the lenses at their disposal. Get shooting, be creative and above all else, have fun!
