CSLR Challenge 143: Movement of Water (hosted by Michael Kilpatrick)
CSLR Challenge 143: Movement of Water
The theme is movement of water. The water can be liquid, solid or vapour and any drinkable liquid eg beer, will qualify.
One of the most stunning photos I have ever seen was published in National Geographic a few years ago. It was of a lion that had been soaked in a rain storm and was shaking the water off its mane. The photographer had chosen just the right shutter speed to keep the lion’s face reasonably sharp, but to show the movement of the swirling mane and flying water drops. That shot would definitely qualify for this challenge.
More likely possibilities include the standard, but often stunning, images of water drops or misty waterfalls but also water sports, seascapes, children/pets playing with water, steam trains......... etc etc. As a challenge within a challenge, I’m hoping for inventive use of long exposures as a way of emphasising movement, but that’s not mandatory.
Anyway, I’m sure you creative people will surprise and delight me.
