This made me incredibly nostalgic and very sad at the same time. I left Eastbourne in 1990,before all the bull shit fencing went up and security measures were brought in, before the arches were bricked up and when the majority of pupils still had respect for their elders and teachers. I loved this school and the time I spent there, unfortunately by the time my daughter attended some 15yrs later,it was unrecognisable from the school I knew and we took her out due to bullying,something that never would have been tolerated in my time,especially with Mr.Fox-Roberts around. These pictures are fab and make me want to go and have a look around before they eventually do get around to knocking the old place down.
