Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing them. The "mushroom being eaten by a slug" looks like false chanterelle (Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca).

I am wondering if I can use your image of G. tsugae(34021033) for a poster presentation at the functional foods conference, Huntsville, AL, 4-20-06. If so, who am I to credit? It is for the non-profit, BioRevival. The title of the main poster is, "A Medicinal Mushroom Preparation as Functional Food for Multiple Sclerosis." Thanks, Skylar Saveland

Hi came across this site googling---I have some ID recommendations for you and will only comment if extremely sure I am right. Pg1 Merulius?= Old Laetiporus sp./C.cyathiformis?=Hypomyces chlorinigenus on buttons of probably Boletus pallidus/ Pg 2 Mill Pond fungus=Trametes elegans/ Hemlock fungus= old Laetiporus (probably L. huronensis if on hemlock, recently described from Great Lakes region it is very rare in New Enbland)/Fungi growing on bracket= probably same entity refruiting from fallen tree in a position reorienting its hymenium parallel to the earth (Geotaxis) which basically keeps a roof over its "head". Where are you located? Please respond to hotmail address below.
