A reception room

the NT has recently opened the house (nominally still lived in) daily. This is part of the mostly C17th manor house constructed on the ruins of the former Priory http://www.britainexpress.com/attractions.htm?attraction=221. It is absolutely stuffed with museum type artifacts and of a noticeably gloomy mien

All that dark woodwork would make the room extra dark in your long winters.. the 2nd image is more inviting and lets in the sunlight. v
