Versatile Goddess

Early C18th lead originally in garden of Francis Negus, MP as "Flora". He presented her to the town where she was equipped with scales of justice as Astrea on top of market cross until its demolition in 1812. She was then issued with sickle and wheatsheaf as Ceres on Corn Exchange. She had a holiday in Christchurch mansion garden before returning to Town Hall
