St Mary-le-Tower

The civic church of Ipswich. The burgesses met here in 1200 to discuss how to proceed having been given a charter by King John. Unfortunately the church itself has been totally rebuilt over the ages and mostly in 1865. For the bells see http://www.stmaryletower.org.uk/church-building/bells/

It may have been rebuilt, but it's quite an impressive looking tower, and more so from this perspective.
