racing on the Deben

a yacht doing a brave job of getting out of Woodbridge against a stiff wind, easily overhauled by an egret. The 5 or 6 miles of the Deben estuary below Woodbridge is only navigable at high tides and most yachts cheat and use the motor

We have at last embarked on buying our new home in the neighbouring village of Newbourne, so this should figure in my favourite walk, 30 minutes from the door

I like how the bird is effortlessly sailing along, while the boat appears to be having a hard time of it. Good use of DOF here.
