My Nasty Dog (warning: may contain carrion)

My dog Rudi was raised by my neighbor before being given to us when he decided he didn't want her anymore.
She grew up scavenging and despite her full bowl of tasty dog food, she still brings up dinner and snacks from
around the neighborhood.... everything from road kill to baked sweet potatoes. Just for laughs I've photographed a few:

You are right. It is not for the faint of heart or eating-of-lunch time. :-/ I hope I have time later to read some more from your site. Enjoyed Rudi's story - not sure about the photos.:-)

I once had a retriever that found a Black Duck and buried it near a site that I inspected a couple times each day.
He would exhume the "remains", have a sniff, a chew and a roll and then leave it and follow me home on every inspection visit.
He would return to the site and rebury the remains when he thought I was safely at home and unaware of his actions.
To my certain knowledge, he completed this cycle at least 43 times.
The season was warm, the remains slowly diminished, but OH, how the aroma intensified.

She's doing her part to clean up her neighbourhood. That's more than a lot of us humans will do.
