Day 2, 1st June saw us en route to Tibooburra, a run of about 220 klms from Wanaaring. One of the most isolated towns in New South Wales, Tibooburra is the jumping off point for exploring Sturt National Park and making the run through the park to Cameron's Corner. The corner is the point where the Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia borders meet.
The yellow pennants indicate that assistance from the sweep vehicle was not required. An orange pennant indicated that assistance was required. This system allowed the convoy to proceed without undue holdups.
