OMG. If you are reading this and will be in Tuscany or within several hours of the Italian riviera, you ought not forget your hiking shoes. The hikes between the "Five Lands" are fantastic, and some not exactly easy. If you go in the dead of summer be prepared for crowds and very sweaty clothing.

However, the benefits are incredible. This was not a nature hike, but a challenging hike along a rocky coast, along thin trails, and with beautiful views.
