"Cuzamil Coral, Condo #114" This condo is on the second floor above our office/house and is POOL SIDE. It offers a 10" x 10' outdoor patio with four place outdoor dining table and chairs and a weber propane gas grille. The patio overlooks the pool and gardens. Our condo's are American maintained and constantly being updated. It is a one bedroom "efficiency" that is perfect for one or two people. A galley kitchen, open living area and 32" wall mounted flat screen HDTV with ROKU programming via the internet, 5 megs of internet with open US VPN. It has a fully tiled bath with over sized stand up shower, NO TUB, and a hair dryer is included. Hot water is supplied by it's own propane gas on demand hot water heater and has a pressurized water system. It has a doored bedroom with a queen size memory foam mattress and includes an 8 foot lighted closet with wall safe. Included in the rental is mini split A/C in the living area and one in the bedroom, galley kitchen with garbage disposal, 24 inch propane gas range, 24 inch full size SS refrigerator, blender, toaster, Cuisinart coffee maker and all utensils, pots, pans, silverware, dish's and includes all utilities. Included in the rental are free out bound calls using Vonage North America plan to the US and Canada and basically the rest of the world. In bound calls are free to Vonage customers. The condo's on this property use the main inbound phone number (941-375-2388) with a Panasonic CPU and answering/messaging system. There is a laundry on site with a washer and propane gas dryer and the maid will do your laundry @ 50 peso's per kilo. All our condos have schlage key less entry door locks. Cost of the condo is $1,600.00 USD plus 19% tax monthly and $500.00 USD plus 19% tax weekly. Low season rates June thru December 15th offer a 25% discount plus 19% tax. I was given your email address by Doug Knipe who we have rented a condo from in Cozumel for a few years and he asked us to drop you a line. We highly recommend their place (Diamond K ). It’s a bit off the beaten track (one mile from ocean) which allows you to feel like you are actually in Mexico...and Doug and Terry make every effort to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The apartments are modern, clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need for eating, etc. The area is safe and close to big stores for stocking up fridge,etc. They have a beautiful large pool, and all grounds are as well beautifully maintained. For us it was a great intro to the "ins and outs" of Cozumel and Mexico, as Doug and Terry help with anything that comes up or know where to direct you, and that is sometimes invaluable in a foreign country.

A wonderful, affordable, home away from home!
We have stayed at Diamond K condos in Cozumel about 8 times over the last 3 years so I thought it was about time for a review!
The condos are in two sections, the owners Doug and Terri live in the main house with a swimming pool and 3 or 4 condo apartments and around the corner there is another complex with another 6 condos. Everyone from both buildings has use of the pool which is a good size set in a lush private garden. It is not heated but is a nice relief from the Mexican heat.
The condos: there are a variety of sizes including bachelor, 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom. They are all clean and well maintained with everything you need for your holiday. All the little things you expect like hot water, air conditioning, safes, large screen TVs etc are in place with little extras like Netflix and free phone lines to U.S. and Canada. The kitchens are fully equipped with everything and more that you would need. And if there is something not there that you need, just ask and Doug will deliver. Each unit has a private balcony or patio area and each unit has a new Weber gas BBQ which is located right outside each unit on the patio. There is a free standing water cooler in the unit and Doug will replace the bottles as you need them.
The location: the condos are just outside the tourist area but close enough for a 10-15 minute walk or a $3 U.S taxi ride into town. The condos are just off 11th Avenue, which is the Main Street running to downtown and it is always easy to grab a cab. We often walk into town and get a taxi back. There are lots of restaurants and a Oxxo (7-11 type store) within a five minute walk. Excellent taco place and an Italian restaurant are just around the corner as well as a seafood restaurant just down the street. The Bodega (Walmart ) which sells pretty well everything including groceries is also very close to walk. There is even a McDonalds just down the street!
For those of you Divers looking for an affordable, clean and well located place to stay, this is it. The condos around the corner have a pretty little back yard with outdoor sink for rinsing off equipment and drying rack. Doug knows all the places to go and can be a great help to you.
Security: both buildings are kept locked at all times and the building is quite secure.
Cleaning: Gabby is around every day to clean and bring towels or whatever else you may need. She is wonderful and very helpful. She will come as often or as little as you need. We usually don't require her to clean every day. She will also do your laundry for a few extra dollars.
The condo has toilet paper, paper towels, dish wash detergent but plan to bring your own toiletries, ie. soap, shampoo etc. We prefer to bring our own anyway since we are usually there for 10 days or more.
The Hosts: Doug and Terri are an American couple who have owned these condos for years. Doug will go out of his way to make sure you have a great stay. He will pick you up and drop you off at airport or Ferry. The first time we went, he picked us up and drove us around the area showing us where everything was, which was very helpful. If you encounter any issues at all, he will usually respond immediately. He has driven us to the grocery store and the beach. He is there if you need him but allows you space to enjoy your time. Doug is also gracious enough to pick up our beer and wine order ahead of time so there is a nice cold one waiting in the fridge when we arrive. ( He gets it from SAM's club)
Diamond K is a work in progress. There is always something being fixed or upgraded but it is a home away from home if that is what you are looking for. If you want 5 star Hilton, go to The Hilton. But if you want a place where you will feel at home and enjoy all the amenities that you need and expect while you are away then I recommend this place. We have searched the island for condos but this is the best value for money you will find.
We are already booked for Christmas and can't wait!
