Northern Lights Have You Ever Felt A
Northern Light Free As A Breeze

Whistling Tunes That You Know And Love So

Northern Lights Just As Good Even When
Closed Your Eyes I Apologize

He Has Found A Better Way

Feel So Good Feel So Good It's Frightening
Wish I Could Stop This World From Fighting
La Da Da Da Da Da La Da Da Da Da Da
Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da...

What? What's that?
Oh! That's right. Let's start over...

Southern Lights Have You Ever Felt...
WHAT! WHAT IS IT NOW?!?

Oh. The song is 'Southern Nights'? Well if that don't beat all.
...never mind

These were taken a few minutes before midnight, about 60 miles west of Chicago.
My first ever Northern Lights!!! I never imagined I would see them without having to travel way north.
My brother called last night and told me they were visible so I ran outside. I spent about an hour taking pictures in a t-shirt and cord jacket -- too excited to be cold! Though I started sneezing not long after I got in, and I can't keep warm today.

When this picture was taken you could barely see them with the naked eye, but this is what a 30 second exposure revealed.

great shot of the Northern Lights. I take these for granted much of the time but when they look like this I feel like lying down and staring up.

What a trip. I'm like you; I figure I'll never get to see this. But wait, I just did. Very very cool shot, Carmen.

You can see the Northern Lights!!! For some reason I thought you were in the Mid-West, not the north! Excellent photo, wherever you are!

Wonderful image and gallery, Carmen. I am up here in WI and they were
lovely! Although I went to bed early....I missed the green hues that
everyone else is getting. It was a lovely site and thank you for sharing for
those of us who didn't get to capture or view them!
