Tash is a calico and she just turned 19 in April 2009.

Beau is a Ruddy Somali with a previous career as a show cat (see his Show Days gallery) but much prefers his retirement as an outstanding mouser. He was TICA's Somali of the Year in 1991 and turned 17 in August 2007.

Mingo is a black & white farm cat I picked up on a frosty night in the middle of nowhere (the nearest dwelling was half a mile away). He was probably about 5 weeks old and weighed less than a pound; today he is over 14 pounds & 3 feet long. He'll be 14 in October 2009.

I find cats(I've got two) great company,when they want food/attention,but so difficult to get a good picture,'cept when they're asleep.You've got a great gallery here,with some wonderful shots.I can empathsise with lots of them.Well done.Voted.

Great gallery! When I was a kid, I read a book by an English gentleman called "My Five Tigers." He described the lives of the five cats he and his wife kept in a wonderful way. It was one of my favorite books of all time. A couple of years ago, I found a copy in the library. You would enjoy it, too. Written by Lloyd Alexander, in 1956. Try to find a copy!
