Cyanocitta stelleri carbonacea - Coastal California (Marin and Contra Costa to Monterey counties);
Cyanocitta stelleri annectens - Interior British Columbia to Northeast-Oregon and Northwest-Wyoming;
Cyanocitta stelleri macrolopha - Rocky Mountains of Nevada and Utah to North-Sonora;
Cyanocitta stelleri diademata - Sierra Madre Occidental (Southeast-Sonora to Chihuahua and Jalisco);
Cyanocitta stelleri philippsi - Central-Mexico (San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato and Hidalgo);
Cyanocitta stelleri coronata - Highlands of Central-Mexico (San Luis Potosí to North-Puebla);
