This schooner barge about 130' long, sits upright and incredibly intact in a busy small boat shipping channel. Plates found on the wreck were manufactured only during a 6-year period in the 1890's, this helped identify the wreck as the Kingshorn, one of seven wheat laden schooner-barges being towed by the powerful tug Hiram A. Walker on Apr 27, 1897 bound for Montreal. A storm sank thress of the barges, with the Kingshorn leaking so badly that she eventually sank just before the tug captain could reach Rockport. A ship's wheel is still there, and at the stern the broken-off rudder lies flat while a windlass adorns the bow area. Three bilge pumps, one mounted just forward of each of the three cargo holds, add to the unique nature of the shipwreck. Anchor chain lies on the forward deck.
