In the spring of 2008 i ordered a Cape Cart made from a design found in a book published over 100 years ago. I believe that the this Cape Cart made by Carriage Machine Shop in Bird-in-Hand, PA is the only one of its kind in the United States. The cart along with its unique Cape Harness enabled the South Africans to travel cross-country at speed with pairs and 4-in-hands of horses and mules safely
