10 16 11 Mt. Lakes Camp
Our walk leader, Santo Curro, led us to some areas with Grifola frondsa. Other fungi we saw include:
Polypores and Stereums: Globifomes suaveolens, Grifola frondosa, Oxyporus populinus, Poronidulus conchifer, Trametes versicolor, Trichaptum biformis, Stereum ostrea, Stereum complicatum
Gilled Mushrooms: Mycena spp., Pleurotus ostreatus, Tricholoma portentosum, Tricholoma sejunctum
Jellies: Exidea glandulosa, Exidia recisa

Eva found this old Hericium and the one-armed wrestler.2279.jpg
When I saw this cluster of mushrooms, I knew this must be a maple tree. Oxyporus populinus usually has moss on it.1030401.jpg
Pholiotina rugosa (Conocybe filaris) is mushroom with a movable ring, just like lepiotas have.1030427.jpg
Lisa found this oddity. Is it a slime mold? Mushroom Observer will tell us.1030439.jpg
