Crealde Art School hosted their Art & Soul Benefit at the Winter Park Community Center on October 19, 2013 to raise money for the school. The night was hosted by comedian hosts Crayola and Minneola. It included entertainment by the Chuck Archard Trio, good food from the 4 Rivers Smokehouse, a silent auction with donated art work of various media as well as items and services donated by local businesses. There was a live auction hosted by Channel 13 weatherman Jeff Day to close out the night.

Guests were able to watch demonstrations of pottery making, painting, and sculpting. It was interesting to go back and see how they progressed.

There was a special contest to benefit the Rick Lang Scholarship Fund. Strings of beads were sold by the ambassadors. Then everyone was able to participate in a coin toss game until they lost all of their beads. Crayola and Minneola made the contest lots of fun! The Rick Lang Scholarship Fund is in memory of Rick Lang, a Crealde teacher and director of photography who died this past year. He was my first teacher at the school.
