ERNESTO may have only been a tropical storm when he blew thru here
But he left as much damage as any hurricane of late
He, of course, pales in comparison to Katrina . . . but we will be digging out for quite a while

Wow, this is amazing. That sky is so creepy looking... it is almost taunting

I don't really know what it's like to suffer major flooding, but I think we will all have to get used to it.
Good documentary shot, Pete.

Oh my goodness...hope all is well at your home. We can't get a drop and you get a deluge. Wow.

no they weren't blue . . those were the clouds and with the inadvertent use of the incandescent filter in the camera . . . they looked bluer than normal . . .when I did the levels, they got even bluer . . I just left it

Agree... pretty good punch for a tropical storm. Humm, blue skies? ;)
Linda Alstead03-Sep-2006 09:43
oh blimey - how miserable....we've been watching its progress - it seems to be wandering around all over the place.
Robin Reid02-Sep-2006 17:39
That is a lot. My sympathies. Hope your home is okay?
Coleen Perilloux Landry02-Sep-2006 15:30
I am so sorry. Hope your home did not get flooded.

I am sorry to see that! Superb sky.

This is great visual story-telling.
I hope you didn't suffer much damage from the storm.
I take it that you were riding in the Chevy. Did you turn around and find another route?
What about that opposite direction Jeep? Did it make it through the deep water okay?

Superb journalistic photo of this storm. Especially riveting with the blue sky. I could never understand why people think they can drive through flood water or walk in it. Yuck. :)

Certainly shaping up as one tough decade for disaster.
Hope things dry out soon.

Guest 02-Sep-2006 03:40
I saw quite a bit of that today! ;) Hope you didn't have too much damage.

Oh I am sorry that Ernesto showed his temper over there. We got soooooo lucky. Expected the worst and got lucky. Our normal afternoon storms sometimes are worse than Ernesto. Hope you did OK.
