LICHEN . . lookin like wood roses

as John pointed out, it does appear to be Turkry Tail (what a fun name for a fungus!!)
I googled it and there were a lot of pictures similar to this one, so it must be true . . LOL!

Long Befor I started with Pbas, I had a websit with assorted galleries of my photos. On of thos galleries was titled "fungi" wher I kept all sorts of photos like thes. I lov this stuff and you took a beauty her. It does look lik a wood ros.

and I think your spelling of demur is just fin too.

Lots of texture and tree like hues. The lichen does look flowery. I wonder if you can pull it off intact. It would make a neat addition to something. At least in my bizarre home. :)
