The sepia is a great idea. It draws attention to the dramatic sky. I think if I ever put up outside lights I'm going to be one of those people that leave them up all year. :)

Christmas is near...

ALREADY???? ugh. I already saw It's a Wonderful Life .
!Already! oh my goodness...I better start making my holiday cards...
oh goodness,,,, and gifts,,,,and the calls to people I haven't talked to in
months and years and the calls from people I haven't talked to in
months and years...OH MY GOD, all the exboyfriends and scary relatives
come out of the closet during the holidays. HELP PETE! Strip down the lights
and maybe nobody will notice it's Tis The Season ;-)

What a great photo! I love the vantage point from the roof, and the felling that we are peaking over your lights at the neighbours lights! LOL

Poor Stewart . . perhaps you could export some of YOUR traditions to US . . It would be a wonderful change =]

This is one tradition that I wish would stay on your side of the pond. Some people have started decorating the outsides of their houses here, and I wish they wouldn't - it just looks tacky (as a rule). I also wish we could get rid of pumpkins and trick-or-treat at Hallowe'en, and go back to guising and turnip lanterns. And, while I'm at it, I wish the JJB Sports advert that calls trousers "pants" would get pulled. Quite enough Americanisms and imported "traditions", thank you very much. There you go, rant over. Nice photo btw ;-)
