18 AUG 04 WYLAND

This picture is a huge,massive, enormous THANK YOU and tribute to WC . . . AKA DeMorcan

Without his expertise and time and good will this picture would not be on here
Cuz the camera that took this picture had been dunked in the ocean about a month ago and ceased to work =[

WC is my hero!
He spent some time with my camera & got it to work again!!

HIP HIP HOORAY!

DeMorcan . .you are my hero!!!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU ! THANK YOU ! THANK YOU ! THANK YOU ! THANK YOU !

The picture, BTW, is of artist Wyland

He travels the country doing immense murals of sea life
If you've ever been to Norfolk,VA you may have noticed the side of a 6-story building painted with a whale scene
(I found a picture of the building here http://www.pbase.com/image/32778320)

He's back in VA promoting The WYLAND FOUNDATION on a "Clean Water Awareness" tour

I caught him in conversation & doing a smaller scale sample of his work

THANK YOU AGAIN, WAYNE!!!!
=]

~~~~~~~~~~~~
OH! And I forgot to reset the exif on the camera when I got it back so it says some stoopid date in 2003 . . .AS IF!
OH . . ummmmmmmmmm . . I see it doesn't say anything . . . . never mind =]
Olympus C-740UZ
1/320s f/3.7 at 63.0mm iso100 full exif
other sizes: small medium original auto
Nice to see that that camera works again. That was a practical job from Wayne then. Not knowing what it was lets me conclude that way since theory is when everyone knwos everything and nothing works and practice is when everything works and noone knows why. :-)
What wonderful news... made my day! I thought of you when we were recently in Pensacola watching parasailers. Told my hubby the sad story of your Oly while there. I'm so glad to see that you've had such a happy outcome... nice pic too.
I was just lucky to be the one holding it when it decided to start working. Glad to see it is taking good photos again.
Congrats on getting your camera back in fine working condition. I have always admired Wyland's work - but he looks SOOOOOOOO young!!! He must have started painting murals when he was 12 - yeah, that's it.
Wayne is such a super guy, very sweet. And I love this image with different viewpoints of the artist himself. Never have seen his work until now..thanks Pete.
