14 JULY 04

14-JULY-04 DAIRY-QUEEN

I was going to shoot the banana split . . . but by the time I got the camera out . .
IT WAS GONE!!!

It just- *POOF* -evaporated
One minute it was there in all it's gooooey glory,
and the next . . . GONE

I don't know HOW that happened =]

SO I shot the sign instead . . .

'Sides . .I didn't wanna drive you dieters nuts with yet another scrumptious temptation
heeheeheeheeheeheehee

Jill15-Jul-2004 12:19
Yea yea no temptation here, not at all. Only I am such a sucker when there is even the least amount of advertising!!! Banana split.

What a wonderful way to spend a summer evening. Who cares about calories? Great reflective light and colors.

I like very much this "diary" version of the pad, it reminds me of the Henk & Joop style :-)
Willa Dios15-Jul-2004 04:55
Yikes, woman! This is EXCELLENT! Makes up for the dancing spiders, huh (smile)?
Jude Marion15-Jul-2004 04:40
Pete, very nice shot! I love the neon and back lighting! Pretty fancy DQ!
And it was kind of you to save us from having to look at an incredibly delicious banana split! Un hn ... thanks!
Herb 15-Jul-2004 04:09
Now you see them, now you don"t. Happens every time I see chocolate.
Guest 15-Jul-2004 03:03
Great image. Nice and simple. I love shooting neon and illuminated signs. Good work.
Guest 15-Jul-2004 02:41
The neon colors/glow are terrific. Btw - I have the same problem with cheeseburgers...they just disappear! Nice, Pete.
Carmen15-Jul-2004 02:29
Well, you know what you're supposed to do in that situation, don't you? Buy another! Don't tempt me.
Karen Leaf15-Jul-2004 02:14
Glitzy DQ! Craving one right ahout now.
DeMorcan15-Jul-2004 02:00
That happens to me also. The food just seem to disappear so fast
Guest 15-Jul-2004 01:57
As I drove home tonight.... the thought crossed my mind to head to DQ for a tasty treat... I may have too now!

Fancy Dairy Queen! The only ones I've seen haven't been remodeled since they were built. I can't believe you guys are talking about ice cream! That's always my downfall in the summer.
Lara S15-Jul-2004 01:54
yummmmmmy ok can you send me some my way?
Gary Blanchette15-Jul-2004 01:53
The colors are awesome!
Guest 15-Jul-2004 01:48
:) well, that will do too!
Robin Reid15-Jul-2004 01:39
Your sensitivity and sense of sacrifice to protect us dieters is very touching. ;-). And this is an excellent and eye catching image.
BTW, they were advertising a new iced frappicinno ... better than Starubucks. Have you tried that?
Guest 15-Jul-2004 01:37
I haven't seen a Dairy Queen in my neck of the woods in years. Sure could go for one of those dip cones.
