04 JUL 04 MAINSTREAM BIKERS

This is a place holder until (or unless I don't) find something else

Found this pair and their Harley at the local Starbucks just chillin' & enjoyin' the day

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We'll get matching jackets and helmets too.
We'll get respect from the towns we ride through.
We'll sleep at the roadside in the soft
green grass and if the squares walk
by we'll let them pass.
You'll be the queen of my highway,
my motorcycle mama.
We'll see the world
through my Harley
I agree with JHR. Timeless. This is an awsome photo.
Mike, I am glad to hear that! But I was talking of the photo, and not of the reality.
Photography is an art, like writing, like poetry, or painting. And Arts, to make things interesting, lie, lie a lot!
i, as the fellow in the image, can verify whole heartedly, that the woman in the pic is hardley optional, she is my wife, who means more to me than anything, especialy a harley davidson motorcycle.
I like the post-processing!
Adalberto Tiburzi07-Jul-2004 08:00
Back, just to add that her face half hidden by the bike tells a story... the sad story of an "optional" girl ;-)
John Buffin06-Jul-2004 02:32
Great composition and toning. I like how the bike is the center of attention, then you see they guys enjoying a cup of java.
RodTO05-Jul-2004 17:55
I love the sepia for this shot, it brings out the chrome nicely!
Adalberto Tiburzi05-Jul-2004 14:08
Most people in their comments has complimented you on the contrast and tones... I agree!
(Marlon Brando will never die, btw...)
Anne Young05-Jul-2004 13:45
Nice perspective, and the toning is fantastic!
Stu05-Jul-2004 09:45
I want one of these... but not in the weather we had this weekend, mind you!
Karen Stuebing05-Jul-2004 09:24
I agree. This one is super.
Karen Leaf05-Jul-2004 03:29
Keep this one Pete. This is really good. Really like the rendering.
brother_mark05-Jul-2004 02:31
Toned B&W is better. Personally, I felt no need to see the color version. I trusted your judgement. :)
Robin Reid05-Jul-2004 01:20
Leave this up Pete. It converys the feeling well.
snootydog05-Jul-2004 00:41
wunnerful, just wunnerful. I like the original too but you nailed the tones on this.
Carmen04-Jul-2004 16:39
Wish my friend hadn't sold his bike...and he used to work for Starbucks, on top of it all! I like your framing of this, and the sepia tones. A very relaxing way to spend a morning.
David Winge04-Jul-2004 15:42
Very nice, no better way to start the day! I like the angle you chose, very nice.
Guest 04-Jul-2004 15:42
Great shot!! Love the tones. The way you composed this with the bike leading into its rider is fantastic!!
jypsee04-Jul-2004 15:23
I think this is a good choice; it's a story telling photo even without the verse. Nice composition.
Guest 04-Jul-2004 15:17
Very nice, Pete. Love the contrast too!
