FAVORITE POTTERY PIECES

Nothing special, just three pieces that adorn a mantle
Each piece represents an art show or a personal event that was enriching

They are works of art but get used for what they are on a regular basis
Working art

(I was SUCH an idiot when I got the Native Art piece . . I dropped it almost immediately. . .
see the crack going from the rawhide holder straight to the side of the plate[original view] . . aaaarrrrgggghhhh)

Minolta DiMAGE Xt
2s f/2.8 at 5.7mm iso125 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I don't now what the stroy is with this one . . .on my monitor before I post it, it looks fine, nicely saturated & clear . . I post it & it looks faded . . . funky changes here, juno?

So I'm looking at the original now Pete? Hmmm. I feel like maybe the white balance is off. It's just a bit flat and possibly pink. Of course I've never seen those plates to know how "white" they are. I like the arrangement. Did you say you bought a tripod? Two seconds is a long time to hold still. (After a weekend with Jeanne in NY and a few bottles of wine I can't say I remember much about PADers equipment.)

I thought the same thing, Anna. I had purposely muted it thinking it gave it a softer touch, but I think all it did was make it look washed out. So I have reposted with the original colors & saturation ^_^

That's gorgeous art. You could boost up the saturation and contrast a bit.

I like the way you arranged these to form an interesting composition. Nice pieces.
