This is an "also ran" for PaD for January 19th
It was my mom's when she was a secretary in the thirties right thru to the seventies.
When she retired, she took it with her and still wrote letters with it even in to the nineties
She wasn't a fan of computers, except to play solitaire or black jack.

I love old typewriters. I've always wanted one for my bookselves. A long, long time ago when I was just a rookie reporter not making much money, I had a chance to buy a pristine antique typewriter for $10 at a yard sale, but I couldn't part with the money. I could kick myself now.
