Won't be around like this for another 19 years. It comes very close in its orbit to the earth and appears a good 14% larger than normal.
Don't be too impressed with this shot.
It took me over 100 takes to get it & when I got the trees in focus, the moon was a bright blob.
When I got the moon perfect, the trees were fuzzy.
And with each exposure the moon got higher, smaller, whiter & more normal full-moon-ish.
SO this is a merged pair of shots with the moon perfect in one & the trees in the other.
I'm not quite good enough to get the whole shot in one take.
But that's OK. I'm happy enough with what I did get. =)
