Klamath Falls to Cascade Summit

A collection of Railroad photographs from the 1980's and 1990's of the Southern Pacific RailRoad in the State of Oregon, from Klamath Falls along highway 97 to Cascade Summit near highway 58.

Burlington Northern RR had trackage rights from Chemult to Klamath Falls and is shown here when seen intermixed with SP trains contemporaneously. The SP was acquired by and merged with the Union Pacific in 1996. As happens the paint schemes and locomotive designs have passed into history.
