During the 2012 Fire Season the Dunsmuir-Mott Airport supported aircraft during mop-up of the fires in the Big Bend area north of the Pit River above Lake Shasta.

In this scene a Helicopter Transport Services Sikorsky CH-54 Skycrane Helitankers (ref htshelicopter website) has circled the field and is lowering into it's landing spot for fuel and crew rest.
