Garter Snake

Lincoln Co

The last few time out I have been finding these guys on the road. I locate them to higher ground to keep them from being run over. Some folks just don't care about snakes.

Garter snakes all think they are 12 feet long. They'd be crushed if they ever looked in a mirror!

A fine photo indeed and like what you do to move them away from the traffic.

My goodness, it looks to be very large considering it's so tightly coiled! An excellent capture Tom, its makings are very attractive. V

Nicely detailed capture of this snake, and I like that tongue. It's good of you to move them off the road.

That's quite an attractive snake with longitudinal bands and that bright red tongue! You've sure got lots of coils in this fine photo.
