I couldn’t believe the calmness of the day in June 2008 and failed to visualise the scenes of that day back in June 1944 which were so full of fighting and activity in such inclement weather.

I too find that the Normandy beaches make you think what has happened there before. Bet it was warmer than Bute tho! LOL!
