As a child, I always had a fascination for lightships, but this is the first one I have ever photographed!

This was built by Philip and Son, Dartmouth in 1947 and was first stationed at Smiths Knoll off the Norfolk coast. After being withdrawn, it was sold to the boat museum here in 1991.
