Sunderland

Avro Vulcan XL319 is now kept by the North East Aviation Museum in Sunderland – it is kept on the opposite of the road to what was the airfield when that was sold by the Council to Nissan to secure many car manufacturing jobs in 1984.

This particular bomber was built in 1961 and flown into Sunderland for the museum in January 1983.
