Suffering myself, I am constantly amazed at the number of people I come across who suffer from depression. In fact, I see some kind of correlation between those who are creative and those who get caught by this.

I read this article in the Daily Telegraph today, and it went on to say that depression hits a peak in middle age, so maybe there is hope for us when we get older!

I’m actually off to my weekly depression group tonight which is surprisingly lively – I thought at first it would be full of grey people with long faces.

Your processing is appropriately dark for the subject, and grainy as the paper.

I have been through that cycle. I started enjoying life again at about age 48/49. I am 61 now; and I'm the happiest I have ever been.

So much truth to this. I started to suffer in my mid 40's. The whole creative thing is true as well. And coming to terms with the fact that I was not alone was the biggest life saver.

I read a similar article today... but once you get to your fifties it lifts... a few more years then! ;o) And real happiness starts around 70! :o)
