December 15 2003:
Triggs' Reflections

Triggs Lock on the River Wey Navigation

This is Triggs Lock, between Sutton Green and Send. Its a wonderful calm place, and I saw these reflections, although somehow they don't look as good here as they were 'in the flesh'.
Following a helpful critique by Chris, a revised, and I think improved, version appears here.

Thanks, Chris: I've re-cropped the pic and uploaded it to my In Progress gallery. Just click on the lonk in the caption above. I think its an improvement :-)

What smooth water.
I see what you mean. I think there is a clash.
If you cover the top of the picture down as far as the covers on the boats, I think things improve.

Very nice! Love the reflections of the trees! I almost had to take a another look to make sure it wasn't an upside-down picture :)

Jeanne: there was certainly a very bright light just out of shot. Maybe you've spotted something that I missed ;-)

I think the reflections are wonderful! Just a little shimmer in the water giving it a slight movement. Very nice!

Is that a spaceship I see behind the branches....?

They look very fine to me - and I wish I had weather like this up here :)
