I know railways are not perfect, but they certainly take the stress out of driving, the hassle out of flying and the discomfort and slowness of coach travel.

We are so lucky where I live to have a conveyor-belt full of trains up to London, hence the four tracks to accomodate 'fast' and 'slow' trains.

I have to agree yet we don't do that much here, unfortunately. With scenery like that a train ride is the best! Love this in B&W!

I always feel like a kid traveling by train..each time it's like my first ride..(still get confused with the underground trains, remember? lol) anyway, fantastic shot and so well done..

I didn't know places had four tracks for fast and slow trains...good idea! Have to put a word in for trams too - they've got Sheffield workers to and from work when the buses have been suspended!

You are lucky! I was just telling someone last weekend (during the four hour drive back from the motorcycle track) that I wished we had the train system that you have in the UK.
