Vacation 2005 - San Francisco to Yellowstone then flying

This is a record of our summer vacation in 2005. We begin by flying from Teesside to San Francisco via Amsterdam. After spending a few days in San Francisco we drive to Yellowsone Park via Fort Collins and Steamboat Springs.
We spent a day in Salt Lake City before going to Bracket La Verne near LA where we hired a Piper Arrow for 12 days. Before flying off in the Arrow, we both have to do a checkout and demonstrate we can fly an aircraft and deal with emergencies such as an engine failure.
Our first flying day was Friday 5 August. Sue flew from La Verne to Bakersfield, and I flew to Redding in North California. A good landing is one where you walk away from the aircraft; a great landing is one where you can use the aircraft again...
With storms in the desert states, we fly up the coast to Portland, Oregon.
The flying ended up with a flight from Red Bluff, Ca, to San Francisco to Bakersfield. Alas, the Golden Gate Bridge was under a cloud layer.
