Went to a nearby small town for"Yamboree"
A sweet potatoe festival that I figured would be fun, informative, folksy, and just right for the kids
(we shipped Cristi off for the weekend for much deserved R&R)
Well, the carni above was the norm for this festival.
Unfortunately it was a typical $5 corndog midway full of scantily clad teens with cell phones and carni's barking challenges designed to stir up testosterone and open wallets.
The guy above got me thinking about decisions.
In medicine, and many other areas,we work with what we call decision trees.
Each decision leads to one outcome or another.
At that point there is another decision which leads to another outcome which leads to .................and so it goes
We have been trying to ingrain in our kids(and ourselves) this principle.
When you get far enough away from the first decision point and look back, there are endless possibilities as to where you can end up.
I wonder which decisions made his(or her I can't tell) outcome so different.
Understand I am not degrading this person, just being a neurotic , overthinking older parent!!
Think about it. One seemingly minor decision has the potential to produce someone who can't hold a job
verses a fortune 500 CEO.
