hurricanecrane

I found this scene the day after the hurricane came thru.
It struck me as to the simplistic life that all other animals lead.
To this guy, there was a squall that came thru has world,
and aside from a few trees down(actually good for these guys, more sitting room)
life goes on unchanged
Humans,on the other hand, are so dependant on..... well,on EVERYTHING.
Our world was turned upside down, and it will remain that way for awhile.

WARNING , WARNING
Langley rant ahead
Now I'm no self appointed judge or policeman or moral police BUT,
Stories are surfacing and I have also seen with my own eyes,
the shameless abuse of federal (OUR!!) funds.
Some refugees getting upset about not getting a Check from FEMA yet.
Assuming they are getting deserved free money because they live in an area
(of their own free will I might add)that has had severalhurricanes recently.

Now there are deserving people who I don't begrudge helping,
heck I am seeing some in clinic at our expense.
Once again it is the few bad apples as they say.

Hey I live in East Texas where there are tall pine and oak trees.
If the wind pushes one on my house or car,
IT'S ON ME!!!
My choice to live here and doing so accepts the risks.

Completely agree but some folks want a "free ride" any way that they can get it. btw...this is a really great shot of this egret. Doesn't seem to need FEMA's help at all!

Nice lighting, turns it into quite an abstract image in some ways
