IMG_9999 Turkey Vultures

Around Work, Texas Canyon, Dragoon, AZ

The Turkey Vultures arrive like clockwork the first of March and stay until the end of September
here in Cochise Co., Dragoon, AZ.
These are just three of them drying their wings early in the morning. There are many more at the
top of the Cottonwood trees closer to my office.

I so like to watch them sunbathe.

A very nice image of these Vultures, Carol..
I've noticed an influx of these birds in our area in recent years. When we first purchased our home here eight years ago there were none to be found.....

Love these shots. Turkey vultures are neat birds and this wing drying pose is so typical. Very well captured. V

A very nice capture of this ritual,Carol! They must dry their wings before they take flight.
