IMG_5947 Red-Tailed Hawk Chick

Around Work, Texas Canyon, Dragoon, AZ

I posted the shot below yesterday, asking "Whose Claw is That?!". Today I found out that it is
actually the chick's claw. Apparently they grow into their feet. Who'd thought?

The photo above is hugely cropped so you can see its claw.

Also, in just one day their feather's have grown so much! They are about two weeks old tomorrow.
