Sida, Mallow Family

At Home, Texas Canyon, Dragoon, AZ

My daughter and I were walking around the side yard after an early dinner looking for flowers.
I came across this one, which I don't recall ever seeing before. I looked it up in my "Plants of Arizona" reference book.

It is a sprawling vine with small yellowish to yellowish orange or white flowers with bright yellow
centers. There are seven species of Sida in Arizona. They are so pretty and delicate.

What an interesting plant. It certainly looks like a mallow, but I have never seen them growing as a vine. Great image. V
