Since a massive stroke and coma in 1992, my mother has
collected six dolls which she keeps around her
(she raised six children).
Each doll has a name(different from her children);
the gentle, attentive love I've observed Mom giving these dolls is
such a joy to see.
She truly loves her "children" (real and imagined).
