Recently an elder friend,
a professional woman
I have known for more than 30 years
lost her eye sight.
She has moved into an assisted living community
near my home. When I visited her
this week to see how I might help make her life easier,
I took this picture just as the sun was setting at the end of her building.
The ducks came quickly upon my approach to the half-frozen pond.
