Isn’t it a wonder?
The long-dead leap to life.
They smile between bites of watermelon.
Our youth restored, we run along
the beaches of memory.
Families are reunited; lost friends return;
and just by running the tape backwards
broken things can be mended.

How single frames clicked-clicked together became the celluloid of our time. Sadly instagram and facebook seldom come with popcorn and I wonder what visitors would do with their phones when us matriarchs drag our great grandchildren to the basements for viewing the family treasures. Thank you for mending the broken things, Elaine and Carol. It's a season I don't want to forget.
