I revised a map to show the various counties in Eastern Ontario as a personal reference source. Then it developed into just a wee bit more.

John McQueen was my great, great, great grandfather. He was born near Portree on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, and served in the 74th Infantry (Assaye) of Foot in the Peninsula War fighting against Napoleon's forces. My cousin Jay Johnston has his Campaign Medal with 8 clasps (battle honours). John's daughter Mary married my great, great grandfather, Robert "Red Robin" Johnston in 1832. Together they had 16 children, but only 11 reached their majority.
