These macro shots were taken with the Canon 300D, Canon 100mm f2.8 USM Macro, Tamron 1.4x convertor and 65mm of extension tubes. They are all uncropped frames, resized for web viewing. The area photographed measures approx. 8mm x 5mm (a magnification of just under 3:1, compared to the usual 1:1 with just the 100mm Macro lens by itself). Focusing is much more difficult, and the images lack contrast, I also think that camera shake is much more of a problem (all these images were hand-held, using the Canon MT-24EX macro flash)
