Karen Leaf and I decided to meet up at Old Sturbridge Village.. After having 10 days straight of rain - we were very happy to have a partially cloudy fall-ish day! This was an incredible outing. It was wonderful walking around OSV with someone else interested in taking photos and bouncing ideas as opposed to family members who tend to roll their eyes after the 20th or so shot... Needless to say I took LOTS of photos...
The photos in this gallery are in order they were shot.... The newer posted ones are towards the bottom... I think I'm done posting unless there is something Karen wants to see... I also went through and posted my comments and any post processing. The frames I put on are an action I wrote myself. I don't sharpen all my shots - 98% of the ones I do are sharpened by making a duplicate of the photo, setting that layers mode to Overlay and then running the Highpass Filter - I then adjust opacity and mask out anything I don't want sharpened. The other most common post process I do is playing with a curve on the luminosity channel. Basically I load the luminosity channel and then use it as a mask on a curves layer. I don't do anything to the curve itself. I simply change the blend mode and opacity of the curve layer to give a subtle pop to the colors - blend modes are listed when I've done this however I haven't always listed the opacity.
Here is Karen's Gallery from the day!
