The river had crested and flooded out businesses (city government and post office, too). Today (June 14th) the river is down from the peak.
Our post office is near the spot where I took this photo. 45 mail trucks were under 4 feet of water and are not usable. The post office will take a couple of weeks to be cleaned up once the water is removed. A temp PO has been set up at the fairgrounds. Equipment was borrowed from other PO's, including mail bags and trucks. Ryder trucks have been rented to supplement. No mail was delivered on Friday, but today they were back in business.
